twd or the wild division records a new techno label based from terrassa (bcn) founded trough the collaboration between spear, dustertraum and miki craven. the label aims to follow a dark moody side of techno music, with simple structures and analog sounds reminiscent the old mid 90s productions. this label is the result of the work of the last three years between this three artists. the label will count with more international artists who will take part with the label signing and remixing further references.

love pain sunshine & rain aka lopasura, on only its second release is evidently becoming a force to be reckoned with. benedikt freys distinct rugged aesthetics toy with some conceptual ideas for each contribution, flirting with greek mythologies, romantic legends and the idea of intricate layered meanings and rhetorics for the ep as a whole. coarse kick drums and clattering percussions are used in conjunction with epic industrial and machine-like synth lines, beautifully engineered and held together by the mixed emotions and moody atmospheres present in all three tracks. the genuine and heart-felt intent with frey’s work is undeniable, producing a fine and certain quality that will surely resonate with anyone in favour of the live and raw musical attributes he is skillfully displaying with each new release.

2020vision mark their 250th release with a very fitting project from the originator of the label ralph lawson. lawson presents a selection of classic mixes and unreleased gems produced alongside his original production partner carl finlow.

freakadelle, the vinyl and digital record label of salzburgs cultural association freaksound starts with four extended tracks and one remix of gerald peklars album freiflug, which has been released on lamb lane records in january 2013. the uncut vinyl versions of the tracks all have a melodic and spherical touch in common and stand somewhere in between tech-house and techno. in addition, juergen vonbank delivers a moody deep house remix of the track abflug. gerald peklar is founder and head of the non-commercial electronic music club freaksound, which serves to foster the local scene and especially young musicians. freakadelle embodies the club members subcultural understanding of innovative non-commercial club music.

orre releases a 12inch mini-album by the inimitable avrocar. cited by radiohead as a prime influence on their kid a album, they also did an acclaimed session for the radio show of the late john peel. the eight songs here are improvised sketches, referencing the psychedelic side of krautrock, harmonious sixties pop and lethargic post-punk. combined with a modern feel of rhythmic progression and production, avrocar effortlessly comes up with songs that are moody, but yet fit many moods. without pretension, straight to your heart and mind, avrocar is a band to be cherished.

having surfaced with a few potted releases in the mid-nineties, my love is underground have taken it upon themselves to call upon las teflon dons to reissue three punchy lessons in that currently most mined of house music eras. theres no arguing with the authenticity of a track like planet eater, as the subby bass and pounding drums take the lead with just subtle dabs of noise and samples chilling in the background. sun fist rising has a more rounded atmosphere, leaning on layers of keys and a classic garage shuffle for a sweet and soulful end result, while psycho ray gets on a darker tip with creepy vocal samples and moody organ bass

wars/when i feel is juk juks third 12 release for nommos lead tune wars is pure winter melancholy driven by dark rhythms and brooding basslines, occasionally broken down with celestial synths. slick, enigmatic and moody, a hard one to pin down but easy to get lost in. in contrast when i feel is an irresistible piece of minimal garage house. big kicks and crisp highs are punctuated with reversed strings. all this is scattered with juk juks signature vocal manipulations.
